Dancer’s Studio LLC Student Teacher Program 2024-2025

Internship Description: Dancer’s Studio is providing a student training program for students who are interested in becoming dance teachers. Students will work side by side with a teacher. They will be assigned to a class that is appropriate for their age, ability, and level of experience. Students will be selected after all student teacher applications have been reviewed. Our program

runs same as the dance semester. This internship program is free of charge to those who meet our guidelines. This is an opportunity for the student to grow. They do not receive compensation for this program.

Guidelines:

Enrolled in an Intermediate level 2 or above
Student takes at least 6 hours of class a week. (Ballet, Tap, Acro, and Jazz is required).

Student is responsible to contact the studio and teacher both 24 hours in advance if they will be absent. Students are expected to treat this position like a job. If possible, the assistant should find their own replacement if they are absent. Only another assistant may fill the absence.

Student must arrive 10 minutes before class. If the assistant helps with tumbling, they are responsible for having mats ready.

While in school, in public, or at the dance studio student is expected to be responsible and respectful representatives of our studio.

Student is a positive role model
Student enjoys working with children.
Student must respond positively to teacher evaluations and constructive criticism during their

tenure as a student teacher.

*Student teachers who miss more than 3 assigned student teacher classes will be immediately dismissed from the program.
