Joy Horner is the lead teacher of our preschool program.  She graduated from Clarion University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and is certified in both areas by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  Joy has spent many years in the preschool setting teaching for Head Start, Pre-K Counts and Building Blocks Preschool.  She also spent time working with the Early Intervention program helping children with developmental delays get the services they need.  Joy is passionate about igniting an excitement to learn in each child.  She works hard to meet every child’s needs by focusing on students individually and adapting classroom learning for each child.  Joy knows the importance of the arts in a child’s education.  She believes that children exposed to music, art, dance and performing experience

benefits both in and out of the classroom.  Joy is very excited to be a part of a preschool program that embraces the arts and education in a caring and Christian environment!
